The Committee of Thoroughbred Breeders NSW Ltd (TBNSW) had much pleasure in presenting the TBNSW 2006/2007 Annual Awards at a cocktail function held on Tuesday, 16 October 2007 in the Newmarket Room of the William Inglis & Son complex at Randwick.

For the third year in a row, TBNSW presented a special award in recognition of
an outstanding contribution made to the NSW thoroughbred industry internationally. The recipient of this
award was:
Special Award for Outstanding Contribution to the NSW Thoroughbred Industry
Internationally
Beauty Belle
of Suffolk Vale Farm.
Beauty Belle is the dam of Absolute Champion, who was ranked as
the world’s top sprinter with a rating of 121 by the International Federation of Horseracing
Authorities covering the period 1 December, 2006 to 10 June, 2007. Absolute Champion was also
honoured at the Hong Kong Jockey Club 2006/2007 Champion Awards when he was named Champion
Sprinter.

The last award presented was the Service to the Industry Award. This award is not an annual award – it is presented only in exceptional circumstances
