Launceston was the venue for Black Type racing in Tasmania mid week with the highlights being the Group 3 Launceston Cup, the listed Tasmanian Oaks and the listed Lils Gold Sovereign Stakes.

The listed Tasmanian Oaks was the first of the black type races. Ionacolumba (Celtic Swing(GB)-Maybe An Angel) was successful from Fracas (Ali-Royal(IRE)-Super Rory) with La Supreme (Danehill(USA)-Priceless Jewel(NZ)) third.

The listed Lils Gold Sovereign Stakes was the next race on the program and it was taken out by Snip Attack (General Nediym-Snip) from Gehenna (Ladoni(GB)-Speedmaster) with Fine Omens (Aliocha(USA)-Bona Omina) in third place.

The Group 3 Launceston Cup run over 2400 metres was the last of the black type races. St Andrews (Aliocha(USA)-Flying Regent) scored his third win in this event from Arena Valadora (Flying Spur-Palm Beach) with Saturday Fever (Groom Dancer(USA)-Not on Friday) in third position.

Gosford was the venue for the listed Gosford Slipper for two-year-olds run over 1100 metres and it was second and third placings for TBNSW members. Ultimate Fever (Gold Fever(USA)-Ultimate Jester) was successful from Secret Land(NZ)(Secret Savings(USA)-Pocaterra) bred by Emirates Park Pty Limited with Hipwell (Armidale-Kirlani) bred by Mr J R and Mrs P D Cribb in third position.

Morphettville hosted the Magic Millions Adelaide 2YO Classic Race and it was success for TBNSW members when Dress Code saluted. Dress Code (El Moxie(USA)-Ranein) bred by Dr J D Woolridge was too good for King’s Choir (Hurricane Sky-Queen’s Choir(NZ)) with Fragmentation (Snippets-Southern Sprinter) in third place.

Mornington was the venue for the two black type races.

First up was the Hareeba Stakes a listed race run over 1200 metres. Call Me Syd (Gold Carat(USA)-Old Habit) won from the NSW bred Irish Pride (Night Shift(USA)-Superior Bisc) with Prince Rubiton (Rubiton-My Muse) in third position.

The listed Mornington Cup run over 2000 metres was the feature event on the card. It was success for the NSW bred Gunnamatta (Snippets-Savana City) from Lodger(NZ)(Straight Strike(USA)-Red Sophia(NZ)) with Go Straight Home(NZ)(Kinjite(NZ)-Amarige(NZ)) third.
