This weekend the last of the black type races for the season were held at Cheltenham and Eagle Farm. Cheltenham was the venue in Adelaide for the running of the Group 3 Dermody Stakes and the listed Vanellus Stakes. Eagle Farm in Brisbane was the venue for the listed Tattersalls Mile.
In Adelaide Cheltenham Park was the venue for black type racing in Adelaide with the running of the Group 3 Dermody Stakes and the listed Vanellus Stakes.
The first of the black type races was the Group 3 Dermondy Stakes run over 1000 metres for two and three-year-olds. Dantana (Danzero-Big Sky Montana) scored from the NSW bred Maybe McLaren (Secret Savings(USA)-Caerlean’s Edge(IRE)) with Keetah’s Lady (Akhadan-Our Dear Lady) in third place.
The other black type event was the listed Vanellus Stakes run over 1450 metres which was taken out by Roman Arch (Archway(IRE)-Celestial Option) from El Nino (Jeune(GB)-Ozone Friendly(NZ)) with Lemonade Parade (Jeune(GB)-Amfast) third.
In Brisbane Eagle Farm was the venue in Brisbane for an eight event card on Saturday with the highlight being the listed Tattersalls Mile. TBNSW members recorded 2 winners, a second placing and 2 third placings on the day.
TBNSW members opened their account in great style by providing the trifecta in Race 2 the Hardy Brothers Jewellers Handicap. Sirona (Celtic Swing(GB)-Beauty Case) bred by Cescastle Pty Limited was successful from Samar (Secret Savings(USA)-Nice Choice(GB)) bred by Emirates Park Pty Limited with Continuously (Dehere(USA)-Our Brigetta) bred by C & R Thurecht Pty Limited in third position.
A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 4 the Hamilton Hotel QTIS Handicap. King’s Coup (King Ivor-Duce Coup) won from Kutalo (Sequalo-Kutisha) with Subjugate (Marauding(NZ)-Phenomenal) bred by Woodlands Stud in third place.
TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle in Race 5 the Carlton Draught Country Cup when Promising Joy saluted. Promising Joy (Ignatius(USA)-Another Promise) bred by Mr D L Nancarrow was too good for Kid Millions (Success Express(USA)-Lyrical Dancer) with Full on Fraar (Fraar(USA)-Sovehet) third.
The highlight of the meeting was Race 7 the listed Tattersall’s Mile which was taken out by St Basil(NZ) (Vettori(IRE)-Dewamar) from Port Call (Sea Road-Let It Ring) with Deuxieme (Telesto(NZ)-Serenely) in third place.
In Melbourne Moonee Valley was the venue for racing in Melbourne on Saturday with eight events on the program. It was a quiet day for TBNSW members who recorded a winner and a third placing.
TBNSW members were off to a flying start when Topzoff scored in Race 1 the Dominant Homecare Products Hurdle. Topzoff (Zoffany(USA)-What a Honey(NZ)) bred by Galambine Pastoral Company was too strong for Run Santa Run (Runyon(IRE)-Santa Orienne) with Mr Selby (Tirol(IRE)-Volitic) third.
The main event on the card was Race 6 the Dominant Hiskens Steeplechase and TBNSW members provided the third placegetter in the event. Misty Weather (Devon Flyer-Miss Miller) was successful from Kaisersosa (Runyon(IRE)-Alzzina) with Le Thief (Marscay-Habiton) bred by Bhima Pty Limited in third position.
In Sydney Royal Randwick was the venue for racing in Sydney on Saturday with seven events on the card. It was a good day for TBNSW members who recorded 4 winners, 2 second placings and 2 third placings.
TBNSW members were off to a flying start providing the winner and third placing in Race 1 the Emirates Handicap. Networks (Quest for Fame(GB)-Night Club(NZ)) bred by Woodlands Stud was too strong for In a Bound (Ashkalani(IRE)-Bounding Away) with Brave Player (Portland Player(NZ)-Normandy Coast) bred by Riverdene Stud in third position.
TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle in Race 3 the Sonofon Handicap when Shags scored. Shags (Strategic-Prime Block) bred by Mr B MacDonald was too good for High Life(NZ)(Sky Chase(NZ)-Queen of Windsor) with Gahela Baby (Monongahela(USA)-Sonic Star) third.
A quinella for TBNSW members in Race 4 the Dewars Handicap. Comforts (Night Shift(USA)-Cushy) bred by Woodlands Stud was successful from Pristine Partners (Lake Coniston(IRE)-Syd’s Star) bred by Mr J R Cribb with Big Henry (Henry the Lion(GB)-Sober Date) in third place.
TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle and also provided the quinella in Race 5 the Thrifty Handicap. Malta (Youthful Legs(USA)-Celestial Model) made it three wins in a row for his breeders Mr R J Lazarus and Mr W J Mula when he won from Ariante (Filante-Arietta) bred by Mr R N Moclair with Lanzo (Langfuhr(CAN)-Ces Melody(IRE)) in third position.
TBNSW members finished the day with a third placing in Race 7 the Sydney City Lexus Handicap. Patezza (Rubiton-Stars Above) was successful from Damigos (Danehill Dancer(IRE)-Still Friends) with Academe (Royal Academy(USA)-Vionnet) bred by Mr O P Tait and Mrs S S Nivison in third place.

This weekend, black type racing was held at Caulfield and Belmont Park. Caulfield was the venue in Melbourne for the running of the listed Sir John Monash Stakes and Belmont Park in Perth hosted the listed Beaufine Stakes.
In Melbourne Caulfield was the venue for racing in Melbourne on Saturday with eight events on the program with the highlight being the listed Sir John Monash Stakes. TBNSW members recorded 3 winners, a second placing and 2 third placings on the day.
TBNSW members were off to a flying start providing the winner and third placegetter in Race 1 the Newminister Super Vobis Handicap. Happy Strike (Gold Fever(USA)-Rich Haul) bred by Reavill No 4 Partnership was successful from Mr Qigong (Flying Spur-Lypsac(NZ)) with Nibbler (Snippets-Bebhinn) bred by Dr J D Woolridge in third position.

TBNSW members opened their account with a winner in Race 1 the Moraitis Fresh Packaging Handicap when Spurcent scored. Spurcent (Flying Spur-San Century(NZ)) bred by Mr K Rose scored most impressively from Barberton (Flying Spur-Gwalia) with Jewel Peak (Shovog-Zoffany’s Treasure) third.

This weekend, black type racing was held in four States. The Sunshine Coast was the venue in Queensland for the running of the listed Caloundra City Cup and the listed Glasshouse Handicap. Rosehill Gardens in Sydney was the venue for the listed Winter Cup and the listed Winter Stakes. Flemington in Melbourne held the listed Winter Championship Final while Belmont Park in Perth hosted the listed Winter Cup.
TBNSW members were successful in the Glasshouse Handicap and the listed Winter Stakes.
In Queensland The Sunshine Coast was the venue for black type racing in Queensland on Saturday with the running of the listed Caloundra City Cup and the listed Glasshouse Handicap. TBNSW members recorded 3 winners (including a listed race) on the day.
TBNSW members were off to a flying start when Continuously saluted in Race 1 the XXXX Fillies & Mares Handicap. Continuously (Dehere(USA)-Our Brigetta) bred by C & R Thurecht Pty Limited was too strong for Sha Alma (Semipalatinsk(USA)-Sha-Michelle) with Belle Parez (Mighty Avalanche-Miss Sea Green(USA)) third.

TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle in Race 2 the Queensland Times Special Conditions Handicap when May Royal saluted. May Royal (Table Limit(USA)-Alto Flyer) bred by Corumbene Stud was too good for Timber Tycoon (Last Tycoon(IRE)-Oaks Day) with Corretja(NZ)(Rodrigo De Triano(USA)-Try Venus(GB)) third.

Eagle Farm was the venue in Brisbane for the running of the Group 3 Tattersall’s Cup, the Group 3 Mercedes Benz Stakes, the Group 3 Winter Stakes and the listed Australia Post Stakes. Belmont Park in Perth was the venue for the listed Helena Vale Cup and the listed All Star Stakes while Rosehill in Sydney hosted the listed Stayers Cup.
TBNSW members were successful in the Group 3 Mercedes Benz Stakes and the listed Stayers Cup.
In Brisbane Eagle Farm was the venue in Brisbane for black type racing on Saturday with the highlights being the Group 3 Tattersall’s Cup, the Group 3 Mercedes Benz Stakes, the Group 3 Winter Stakes and the listed Australia Post Stakes. TBNSW members recorded 2 winners (including a Group 3), 2 second placings and 2 third placings on the day.
TBNSW members were off to a flying start providing both the winner and the third placing in Race 1 the Tender Plus Handicap. Academe (Royal Academy(USA)-Vionnet) bred by Mr O P Tait and Mrs S S Nivison was successful from John Syn (Just Awesome-Anne’s Hope) with Seafront (Sea Swell-Overbid) bred by Eclipse Stud in third position.

This weekend black type racing was held in two States. Belmont Park in Perth was the venue for the Group 3 Belmont Sprint and the listed Belmont Guineas. In Queensland, Doomben hosted the listed Glenlogan Park Stakes while Rockhampton held the listed Rockhampton Cup.
TBNSW member Mr Ian Smith of Edinburgh Park Stud was successful in overseas black type racing when Silent Witness (El Moxie(USA)-Jade Tiara) scored most impressively in the Group 2 Sha Tin Vase in Hong Kong recently.
In Perth Belmont Park was the venue for black type racing in Perth on Saturday with the running of the Group 3 Belmont Sprint and the listed Belmont Guineas.
The first of the black type races was the Belmont Guineas a listed race for three-year-olds run over 1600 metres. Creatrix (Umatilla(NZ)-Rehearsed) was successful from Secret Link (Encosta de Lago-Most Secret) with Old Beau (Old Spice-Chantruse) in third place.
The Group 3 Belmont Sprint run over 1400 metres was the other black type race on the card and it was taken out by Tribula (Tribu-Tabula) from Modem (Bletchley Park(IRE)-Refurbish) with Finito (Palace Reign-Rare Idol(USA)) and Shane’s Boy (Dauberval(USA)-Noble Girl) dead-heating for third.

In Rockhampton Rockhampton was the second Queensland venue for black type racing on Saturday with the running of the listed Rockhampton Cup. The NSW bred Rival Rebel (Rivotious(USA)-Love’s A Gamble) scored from Motivate (Splendent(USA)-Brianza(NZ)) also bred in NSW with Laurinel Impulse (Dantibes-Imperial Pulse) in third place.

A bumper long weekend of Black type racing with Brisbane again providing the focus. Eagle Farm was the venue for the running of the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap, the Group 1 Queensland Derby and the listed Eagle Farm Stakes. Flemington in Melbourne hosted the listed AR Creswick Stakes. Randwick in Sydney was the venue for the listed June Stakes while Belmont Park in Perth hosted the listed Rosenthal Stakes.
On Monday the black type racing was held at Eagle Farm with the running of the Group 1 Brisbane Cup, the Group 1 TJ Smith, the listed Lightning Handicap, the listed Marco Polo Handicap and the listed Sir Douglas Wadley Handicap.
TBNSW members were successful in the Group 1 Queensland Derby.
TBNSW member Woodlands Stud was also awarded the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes with Kusi after Roedean was disqualified from the event.

Morphettville hosted the Group 1 Goodwood Handicap, the Group 1 SA Oaks, the Group 3 Sires Produce Stakes and the listed Stuart Crystal Stakes. Rosehill held the listed Lord Mayors Cup while Belmont held the listed Bolton Sprint.
Black type racing on Monday was held at Morphettville for the running of the Group 1 Adelaide Cup, the Group 3 The Jansz, the listed Pope Packaging Stakes, the listed Liz Davenport Classic and the listed Centaurea Stakes.
