TBNSW Mid-Week Racing – 018/12/2003

Canterbury Park was the venue for night racing on Thursday night, the second of the mid-week meetings in Sydney this week, with seven events on the card.  TBNSW members recorded a winner, 2 second placings and 3 third placings on the night.

 

TBNSW members were off to a flying start providing the trifecta in Race 1 the Cerebos Food Service Handicap.  Don’s Success (Success Express(USA)-Donette) bred by Darnley Pty Limited was successful from St Martin’s Lane (Citidancer(IRE)-Royal Ballet) bred by Philippa Duncan Bloodstock with Apiary (Desert Prince(IRE)-Honey Be Quick) bred by Woodlands Stud in third position.

 

A second placing for TBNSW members in Race 2 the Sara Lee Foodservice Handicap.  Al’s Wish (Flying Spur-Miss Khozaam) won from Polish Empress (Polish Navy(USA)-Imperial Elder(NZ)) bred by Dr J D Woolridge with Reverie (Zabeel(NZ)-Full of Glory) third.

 

A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 5 the Sealord Australia Handicap.  Beale Street (Ideal Planet-Marie Narelle) scored from Piracy (Encosta de Lago-Avatar Mist) with Ragatz (Quest for Fame(GB)-Mayenfeld(NZ)) bred by Woodlands Stud in third place.

 

TBNSW members recorded a third placing in Race 7 the Goodman Fielder Food Services Handicap.  Box Head Prince (Opera Prince-Dash O’Joy) was successful from Keeping the Faith (My Patriarch(GB)-Leap of Faith) with Arabian Style (Desert Style(IRE)-Cameo Role) bred by Yarraman Park Stud in third position.

 

In Melbourne

The corresponding night meeting in Melbourne was held at Moonee Valley with seven events on the card.  TBNSW members recorded 2 winners and 3 third placings on the night.

 

TBNSW members opened their account with a third placing in Race 1 the Moonee Valley Leader Handicap.  Uma King (Umatilla(NZ)-Suspicious Minds(NZ)) was successful from Vendome (Kings Theatre(IRE)-Coccinelle) with Light Cavalry (Private Army(USA)-Flash Fairy) bred by Emirates Park Pty Limited in third position.

 

TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle when Glow of Light saluted in Race 2 the Puckle Street Newsagency Handicap.  Glow of Light (King Ivor-Radiating) bred by Gooree Park Stud was too good for Echuca Beauty (Shovog-Yamemma) with Coronations (Canny Lad-Miss Windsor) third.

 

A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 4 the Moonee Ponds Shopping Centre Handicap.  Gladiada (Spartacus-Cantida Lady) won from Star and Hope (Dolphin Street(FR)-Respective) with Suit (Procol Harum(NZ)-Fashions) bred by Woodlands Stud in third place.

 

Another third placing for TBNSW members in Race 6 the City of Moonee Valley Handicap.  Dynamic Danzer (Danzero-Assist(NZ)) was successful from Major Woody (Woodman(USA)-Vain Hill) with Spearmint (Flying Spur-Sveldte) bred by Bowness Stud in third position.

 

TBNSW members finished the night in the winner’s circle when Al Samoud scored in Race 7 the Koko’s Ladies Fashions Handicap.  Al Samoud (Desert Prince(IRE)-All Stormy) bred by Meringo Stud Farm was too strong for Sunboat (End Sweep(USA)-Our Side Show) with For Us All (Swamp King(USA)-Bonus Halo) third.

 

TBNSW Mid-Week Racing – 016/12/2003

In Sydney

Warwick Farm was the venue for the first of the mid-week race meetings in Sydney this week with seven events on the card.  TBNSW members recorded 2 winners, 2 second placings and a third placing on the day.

 

TBNSW members started the day with a second placing in Race 1 the Grenoble Handicap.  Capri (Vettori(IRE)-Livorna(NZ)) was successful from Guerilla (Octagonal(NZ)-Partisan) bred by Woodlands Stud with Narrabeen (Dodge-Gala Hope) in third position.

 

TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle when Trip to Manila saluted in Race 2 the Abbeville Handicap.  Trip to Manila (Marscay-Miss Balete(USA)) bred by Gooree Park Stud was too good for Gladiator Girl (Spartacus-Principle Girl) with Flying Anabaa (Anabaa(USA)-National Colours) third.

 

A second placing for TBNSW members in Race 5 the Bernbrook Handicap.  Pentelikon (Vettori(IRE)-Loyal Servant) scored narrowly from Milk (Strategic-Coconut) bred by Woodlands Stud with Sweet Vibes (Danehill(USA)-San Pauli Girl(NZ)) in third place.

 

TBNSW members were back in the winner’s circle when Shannanigan scored in Race 6 the Unpainted Handicap.  Shannanigan (Desert Style(IRE)-Kibitka) bred by Mrs J S Mackay was too strong for Olivier (Sir Laurence(NZ)-Exclusive Label) with Dr Freeze (Brocco(USA)-Chilkat(NZ)) third.

 

TBNSW members finished the day with a third placing in Race 7 the Lawman Handicap.  Sharp Enough (NZ)(Kaapstad(NZ)-So Keen(NZ)) was successful from Natural Thunder (Naturalism(NZ)-Golden Unicorn) with Millenium Charm (Charnwood Forest(IRE)-Zoffany’s Glow) bred by Mrs S Bissett and Mr I C Woodford-Smith in third position.

 

TBNSW Mid-Week Racing – 010/12/2003

In Sydney

Rosehill Gardens was the venue for the mid-week race meeting in Sydney this week with eight events on the card.  TBNSW members recorded 4 winners,  3 second placings and 3 third placings on the day.

 

TBNSW members were off to a flying start providing the trifecta in the opening event on the card the JFT Group of Companies Plate.  Amish (Canny Lad-Quilt) bred by Woodlands Stud was successful from Good Grace (Thunder Gulch(USA)-Blessed Be) bred by Mr J B Cummings with Rexster (Dexter(GB)-Treasurina) bred by Emirates Park Pty Limited in third position.

 

TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle as well as providing the third placing in Race 2 the Balmain Tigers Plate.  Scottish Tiara (Beautiful Crown(USA)-Rosie Mac) bred by Mr A J Bowcock scored from Foxy Tiara (Bureaucracy(NZ)-Ideal Show) with Wasimah (Danehill(USA)-Kapchat(NZ)) bred by Swettenham Stud in third place.

 

Medowie Express made it three winners in a row for TBNSW members when he saluted in Race 3 the Wests Leagues Campbelltown Handicap.  Medowie Express (Lake Coniston(IRE)-Entrance) bred by Mr T Ford was too good for Mustabshir (Red Ransom(USA)-Startling Lass) with Stay Seated (Langfuhr(CAN)-Svelta) third.

 

A second placing for TBNSW members in Race 5 the Wests Ashfield Handicap.  Dane’s Paradiso(NZ)(Danske(NZ)-Genesis(NZ)) was successful from Hasta Manana (Zabeel(NZ)-Curtain Time) bred by Ruane Menangle with In Flames (Spectrum(IRE)-Canny) in third place.

 

TBNSW members recorded a second placing in Race 6 the Tooheys Handicap.  Gramodale Gold (Armidale-Gramophone) scored from Major (Zeditave-Discriminate) bred by Burst Pty Limited with King Cappo(NZ)(Desert Sun(GB)-Cappoquin(NZ)) third.

 

TBNSW members were back in the winner’s circle when Ocho saluted in Race 7 the Xblades Handicap.  Ocho (Octagonal(NZ)-Lee’s Bid(NZ)) bred by Woodlands Stud scored from Tiptonian(NZ)(Kaapstad(NZ)-Tipsy Star) with Heraklid (Dehere(USA)-Gold n’ Lace(NZ)) in third place.

 

A third placing to TBNSW members in the final event on the card the Mark O’Neill Appreciation Year Handicap.  Shagny Lover (Shagny(USA)-Whirly Whirly) won from The Man (Dehere(USA)-Lycra(NZ)) with Blue Patriarch (My Patriarch(GB)-Kalevala) bred by Eclipse Stud in third position.

 

In Melbourne

Sandown Lakeside was the venue for mid-week racing in Melbourne with eight events on the program. TBNSW members recorded 2 third placings on the day.

 

A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 2 the Marmion Handicap.  Broadband (Langfuhr(CAN)-News Box(NZ)) won from Bust Up(NZ) (Housebuster(USA)-Major Affair(NZ)) with Dane News (Danehill(USA)-Palace News(NZ)) bred by Mr G Harvey in third position.

 

TBNSW members recorded a third placing in Race 6 the Alan Currie Super Vobis Handicap.  Go Ruby Go (Barushnikov-Petite Jeunesse) finished strongly to score from Country Lodge (Grand Lodge(USA)-Coalition) with Deeper (Lake Coniston(IRE)-Scenic Sensation) bred by Mr R J Gall in third place.

 

TBNSW Mid-Week Racing – 04/12/2003

Black type racing

Black type racing was held at Hawkesbury in New South Wales on Thursday (4.12.03) with the running of the Group 3 Hawkesbury Gold Cup and the listed Hawkesbury Guineas.

 

The first of the black type races was the listed Hawkesbury Guineas run over 1200 metres for three-year-olds and it was success for TBNSW members when Sweet Marmalade scored.  Sweet Marmalade (Marwina-Sweet Flame) bred by Mr R C and Mrs A Ellis was too good for Lunasong (Unbridled’s Song(USA)-Lunaliona(GB)) with Happy Ways (Shi-Ar(IRE)-Widden Way) in third place.

 

The Group 3 Hawkesbury Gold Cup run over 1600 metres was the other black type event on the program and TBNSW members dead-heated for second place in the event.  Stoway (Geiger Counter(USA)-Travel Light(NZ)) was successful from Takas (Quest for Fame(GB)-Foreign Bank) bred by Woodlands Stud and Vital Agreement (Belong to Me(USA)-Vital Consent) bred by Gooree Park Stud who dead-heated for second position.

 

TBNSW Mid-Week Racing – 03/12/2003

In Sydney

The Kensington track at Randwick was the venue for the mid-week race meeting in Sydney this week with seven events on the card.  TBNSW members recorded a winner, a second placing and 2 third placings on the day.

 

TBNSW members started the day with a quinella in Race 1 the Longines Handicap.  Crave (Grand Lodge(USA)-Aspirations) bred by Woodlands Stud was successful from Solray (Sandpit(BRZ)-Phanessa) bred by Miss A O Raymond with Sweet Vibes (Danehill(USA)-San Pauli Girl(NZ)) third.

 

A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 3 the Seppelt Wines Handicap.  Windorf (Danewin-Slightly Suss) scored from Alfayn (Flying Spur-Red Spice) with Shalang (Langfuhr(CAN)-Shamayil) bred by Ramsey Pastoral Company Pty Limited in third position.

 

TBNSW members recorded a third placing in Race 6 the Schweppes Handicap.  Hec of a Party (Hector Protector(USA)-Party Dancer) won from Apo Quality (Dehere( USA )-The Heights) with Hasty Belle (Bite the Bullet(USA)-Rivella) bred by Mr T P Burke in third place.

 

In Melbourne

Sandown Lakeside was the venue for mid-week racing in Melbourne with eight events on the program. TBNSW members recorded a winner and 2 second placings on the day.

 

A quinella for TBNSW members in Race 2 the Lady Sybil Handicap.  Fairessa (Encosta de Lago-Tonzazip) bred by Mr B Backshall was successful from Celtic Rise (Celtic Swing(GB)-Born to Thrill) bred by Laurel Oak Bloodstock with Miss Suzi Que (Mookta-Minstrel Lady) third.

 

A second placing for TBNSW members in Race 6 the Gipsy Queen Super Vobis Handicap.  Sandy Point (Palace Music(USA)-Merrow) won from Armilla (Thunder Gulch(USA)-Christin’s Silver(USA)) bred by Mr P R Stewart and Ms B E Woodford-Smith with Magical Costa (Encosta de Lago-Mellow Magic) in third place.
