1 the Bradley/Elegante Hand Dryer Plate.

A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 2 the Newhouse Corporation Handicap. Jostles (Shovog-Kido) was successful from Happy Ways (Shi-Ar(IRE)-Widden Way) with High Court (Honour and Glory(USA)-Palace Fashions(NZ)) bred by Gayridge Investments Pty Limited in third place.
TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle when Best French saluted in Race 3 the Construction Marketing Services Handicap. Best French (Air De France(USA)-Best of Babylon) bred by Mr G Harvey was too good for Wombalano Belle (Marwina-Via Jan) with Slippery Sal (Waajib(IRE)-Salacious) third.
When Self Interest scored in Race 5 the Lamson Tank Handicap, TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle again. Self Interest (Geiger Counter(USA)-Elysium(NZ)) bred by Mr I R Johnson was too strong for Anthelion (Integra-Planetary Miss) with Colosseum (Kenvain-Jumping Josephine) in third place.
TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle again when Randwick(USA) scored in Race 6 the Decina Bathroomware Handicap. Randwick(USA)(Nureyev(USA)-Pyrrha(USA)) bred by Gooree Park Stud won easily from Tom Coureuse (Beautiful Crown(USA)-Coureuse) with King Cappo(NZ)(Desert Sun(GB)-Cappoquin(NZ)) third.

Dane Fever (Danehill(USA)-Campbell Fever) bred by Swettenham Stud was successful from Snippy (Snippets-Luminia) bred by Stratheden Stud with Rostrum (Encosta de Lago-Vanda Rouge) third.
Second and third placings for TBNSW members in Race 2 the Schweppes Plate. Bella Maddelena (Flying Spur-Zest) won from Avadance (Danehill Dancer(IRE)-Overbid) bred by Middlebrook Valley Lodge with Good Grace (Thunder Gulch(USA)-Blessed Be) bred by Mr J B Cummings in third position.

Black type racing Black type racing was held at Ballarat in Victoria on Wednesday (19.11.03) with the running of the listed Ballarat Cup and TBNSW members recorded a third placing in the event. Western Waters (Western Symphony(USA)-True Pearl) was successful from Delvecchio(NZ) (Green Perfume(USA)-Human Touch(NZ)) with Dance on Wood (Woodman(USA)-Kirov Dancer(NZ)) bred by Mr J M Ryan in third position.

TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle in Race 3 the Zita McDonough Plate when Filante’s Rose saluted. Filante’s Rose (Filante(NZ)-Rewhite) bred by Bhima Pty Limited was too good for Lunasong (Unbridled’s Song(USA)-Lunaliona(GB)) with Sweet Vibes (Danehill(USA)-San Pauli Girl(NZ)) third.
The winner’s circle again for TBNSW members in Race 4 the Gwen Kavanagh Handicap which Azraq scored. Azraq (Danehill Dancer(IRE)-Rhapsody in Blue) bred by Cescastle Pty Limited was successful from Terrible Taurus (Imposing Bull-Pretty Emma) with Freiby (Zoffany(USA)-Fasciola) in third place.
A great result for TBNSW members in Race 6 the Doreen Thompson Handicap providing the trifecta in the event. Silver Switch (Switch in Time(IRE)-Silver’s Sister) bred by Stratheden Stud scored from Cherubian (Canny Lad-Mrs Minerva) bred by Mr M A Pitt with Abolition (Quest for Fame(GB)-Majestic) bred by Woodlands Stud in third position.

Western Waters (Western Symphony(USA)-True Pearl) was successful from Chairman’s Choice (Runyon(IRE)-Shameem) with Mr Prudent (Phizam(NZ)-I’m In Business) bred by Dr J D Woolridge in third position.
Overseas Black type racing TBNSW

recorded a second placing in the Group 1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas an
event for three-year-olds run at Riccarton on Wednesday 12 November
2003. The NSW bred King’s
Chapel (AUS)(King of Kings(IRE)-Lower Chapel(GB)) gave his sire his
first Group 1 winner when he scored from Sarah Vee(AUS)(End
Sweep(USA)-Capitivating) bred by Mr
G J Fischl with Kainui Belle(NZ)(Kashani(USA)-Lady Ukiah) in third
position.

The third day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival provided black type mid-week racing. Flemington was the venue for the Group 1 VRC Crown Oaks, the Group 2 Emirates Classic, the listed Adams Platform Stakes, the listed Aquaveta Stakes and the listed Radiant Black Stakes.

The opening event on the card was the listed Adams Platform Stakes run over 1000 metres for two-year-old fillies. Flying Firebird(NZ)(Stravinsky(USA)-Hairini(NZ)) scored from the NSW bred Little Chloe (Danehill(USA)-Nuwirah) with Courtney’s Cuddles (Brief Truce(USA)-Sober Surprise) third.
A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 2 the Longines Plate. Carnegie Pops(NZ)(Carnegie(IRE)-So Long Pop(USA)) won from Foxborough (Flying Spur-Zantoussa) with Mythological (Bite the Bullet(USA)-Mythos) bred by Woodlands Stud in third position.
TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle in Race 3 the Moet & Chandon when Seances saluted. Seances (Canny Lad-Spirit) bred by Woodlands Stud finished too strongly for Ta Ta Tatiana (Carry The Crown(USA)-Thaiuette) with Gazania (Encosta de Lago-Viminaria) third.
Race 4 on the program was the listed Aquaveta Stakes run over 1200 metres for three-year-old fillies. It was a quinella for NSW bred horses when Danabaa (Anabaa(USA)-Tears for Tristram) scored narrowly from Crown Princess (Beautiful Crown(USA)-Antolomeo) with Dilly Dally (Rubiton-Faricca) in third place.
A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 5 the Damovo Plate. Shadowmaker (Geiger Counter(USA)-Be My Pride) was successful from Chasseresse (Lion Hunter-Countess High) with Mr Gweilo (Danehill(USA)-St Bridget’s Well(NZ)) bred by Swettenham Stud in third position.
The main event on the program was Race 6 the Group 1 VRC Crown Oaks for three-year-old fillies run over 2500 metres and it was second and third placings for TBNSW members. Special Harmony (Spinning World(USA)-Marooned Lady) saluted from Dane Belltar (Danewin-Ameerat-Blaadi) bred by Emirates Park Pty Limited with Timbourina (Timber Country(USA)-Valourina) bred by Mr S F Johnson in third place. The second day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival provided black type mid-week racing. Flemington was the venue for the Group 1 Melbourne Cup, the listed Seppelt Great Western and the listed Hong Kong Jockey Club Plate.
TBNSW members were successful in the listed Seppelt Great Western.

TBNSW members were in the winner’s circle in the first of the black type events, Race 6 the listed Seppelt Great Western when Light Sweeper saluted. Light Sweeper (End Sweep(USA)-Light Me Up) bred by Milburn Creek Thoroughbreds was too strong for Mutate (Octagonal(NZ)-Mutribah(USA)) with Regrowth (Unbridled’s Song(USA)-True Blonde) in third place.
The highlight of the day was Race 7 on the program the Group 1 Melbourne Cup. Makybe Diva(GB)(Desert King(IRE)-Tugela(USA)) was too good for She’s Archie (ArchwayIRE)-A Little Timid) with Jardine’s Lookout(IRE)(Fourstars Allstar(USA)-Foolish Flight(IRE)) finishing strongly for third position.
The last of the black type races was the listed Hong Kong Jockey Club Plate run over 1800 metres. Kablammo (Marauding(NZ)-Jovan(NZ) was successful from Kane Smytzer(NZ)(Zabeel(NZ)-Another Sound(NZ)) with My Gibreel (El Moxie(USA)-Kath’s Angel) third.
TBNSW members finished the day in the winner’s circle when Bird Dancer scored in Race 10 the Chubb Plate. Bird Dancer (Hennessy(USA)-Be Yourself) bred by Mr P Gunter saluted from Valiant Chief (Kohaylan(USA)-Majaahed’s Girl) and Beau Gallant (Bellotto(USA)-Takai) who dead-heated for second place.

A third placing for TBNSW members in Race 4 the Business Risks International Handicap. Lord of Lords (King of Kings(IRE)-Mean Eyes) scored from Pensive Warfare (Strategic-Pensacola) with Zedaction (Zeditave-Del Du Jour) bred by Mr G J Fischl in third place.
