WEEKEND RACING - 26, 27, 28/03/04

A wonderful weekend of Black Type Racing in New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia this week.  Rosehill Gardens was the venue in New South Wales on Saturday for the running of the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas, the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes, the Group 2 Pago Pago Stakes, the Group 3 N E Manion Cup, the Group 3 Ajax Stakes, the listed Darby Munro Stakes, the listed Epona Stakes and the listed Birthday Card Stakes.  Ascot was the venue in Western Australia for the running of the Group 3 Hyperion Stakes, the listed Perth Stakes and the listed Gimcrack Stakes.  Cheltenham was the venue in South Australia for the running of the listed Birthday Cup.

 

On Sunday black type racing was held at Warwick Farm in New South Wales for the running of the Group 2 Challenge Stakes and the listed T L Baillieu Handicap.

Flemington was the venue for black type racing in Melbourne on Saturday with the running of the Group 2 Blamey Stakes, the listed Bob Hoysted Handicap, the listed Australian Cup Carnival Stakes and the listed Duke of Norfolk Stakes on a nine event card.   TBNSW members recorded 4 winners (including a G2), a second placing and 2 third placings on the day.
