Congratulations to TBNSW member Emirates Park Pty Limited the breeder of Anwaar the winner of the Listed Hall Mark Stakes run at Royal Randwick on 11 April 2007.

Anwaar (Secret Savings(USA)-Eajaab(GB)) was successful from Posadas (Commands- Navidad) bred by TBNSW member Woodlands Stud with King Rex (Carry The Crown(CAN)-Vanity Miss) third.

This is the first black type success for Anwaar who takes his record to 8 wins, 6 second placings and a third placing from his 18 race starts for $402,950 in prizemoney to date.

Moonee Valley was the venue for night racing in Melbourne on Thursday night with eight events on the card. TBNSW members recorded a second placing on the night.

WEEKEND RACING 07 & 09/04/07

A wonderful long weekend of black type racing was conducted in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia this weekend.

Royal Randwick was the venue in New South Wales on Saturday for the running of the Group 1 AJC Australian Derby, the Group 1 AJC Sires Produce Stakes, the Group 1 T J Smith Stakes, the Group 2 Chairman’s Handicap, the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes, the Group 3 Adrian Knox Quality Stakes, the Listed Carbine Club Stakes and the Listed Fernhill Handicap. Caulfield was the venue in Victoria for the running of the Group 3 Easter Cup. Eagle Farm was the venue in Queensland for the running of the Listed Bribie Handicap and the Listed Bright Shadow Handicap. Ascot was the venue in Western Australia for the running of the Listed Easter Stakes and Oakbank was the venue in South Australia for the running of the Listed Oakbank Stakes.... cont
