WINS THE GROUP 3

FRANK PACKER PLATE

TBNSW member Mr G Harvey recorded another black type success when Carnegie House scored in the Group 3 Frank Packer Plate run at Royal Randwick on 14 April 2007. Congratulations to Mr Harvey .

 

Carnegie House (Carnegie(IRE)-Platonic) scored from Empires Choice (NZ) (Redoute’s Choice-Rosie’s Star(NZ)) with Deloraine (More Than Ready(USA)-Mysterious Shound(USA)) bred by TBNSW member Vinery Australia in third position.

 

The win in the Frank Packer Plate was the first at black type level for Carnegie House has only faced the starter 7 times for 2 wins, 2 second placings and 2 third placings.

WEEKEND RACING - 14/04/07

Black type racing was conducted in New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland this weekend.

 

Royal Randwick was the venue in New South Wales on Saturday for the running of the Group 1 Sydney Cup, the Group 1 Champagne Stakes, the Group 1 All Aged Stakes, the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes, the Group 3 Frank Packer Plate and the Listed James H B Carr Stakes. Ascot was the venue in Western Australia for the running of the Group 3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes and the Listed WA St Leger Stakes. Cheltenham Park was the venue in South Australia for the running of the Listed Oaklands Plate and the Listed Port Adelaide Guineas and Doomben was the venue in Queensland for the running of the Listed Chief De Beers Quality Handicap.

 

TBNSW members were successful in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes and the Group 3 Frank Packer Plate.

 

In Sydney

Royal Randwick was the venue for black type racing in Sydney on Saturday with the running of the Group 1 Sydney Cup, the Group 1 Champagne Stakes, the Group 1 All Aged Stakes, the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes, the Group 3 Frank Packer Plate and the Listed James H B Carr Stakes the highlights on a nine event program. TBNSW members recorded 4 winners (including a Group 1, a Group 2 and a Group 3), 3 second placings and 4 third placings on the day.
