ZUPAONE TOO STRONG IN

GROUP 3 SPRING STAKES

Congratulations to TBNSW member Vinery Stud the breeder of Zupaone the winner of the Group 3 Spring Stakes run at Morphettville on 11 August 2007.

Zupaone (Flying Spur-Shizu(NZ)) was too strong for Amyjaye Power (Centre Stalls(IRE)-Amyjaye Star) with El Maze (El Moxie(USA)-Almazyoon) bred by TBNSW member Emirates Park Pty Limited in third place.

This is the first black type success for Zupaone who has only faced the starter nine times for five wins, a second placing and a third placing with $115,525 in prizemoney to date.

NSW CHAMPION HORSE

OF THE YEAR AT NSWROA AWARDS

Desert War (Desert King(IRE)-High Heels) bred by TBNSW member Gooree Park Stud was named NSW Champion Horse of the Year at the NSW Racehorse Owners Association’s Awards held at The Pavilion at Royal Randwick Racecourse on 9 August 2007.

It was a wonderful night for horses bred by TBNSW members taking out five of the nine awards on offer on the night namely:

• NSW Champion Horse of the Year – Desert War bred by TBNSW member Gooree Park Stud

• NSW Country Horse of the Year – Takeover Target bred by TBNSW member Meringo Stud Farm

• NSW Provincial Horse of the Year – Court Command bred by TBNSW member Mr R Kemister

• Queen of the Autumn – Tuesday Joy bred by TBNSW member Strawberry Hill Stud

• Best NSW Middle Distance Runner - Desert War bred by TBNSW member Gooree Park Stud
