Congratulations to TBNSW member Meringo Stud Farm , on the efforts of Takeover Target being the Best Performed Horse bred by a TBNSW member (metropolitan racing) for the month of May.

Takeover Target (Celtic Swing(GB)-Shady Stream) was successful in the Group 1 BTC Doomben 10,000 at Doomben on 26 May 2007 and was runner-up in the Group 1 BTC Cup at Doomben on 12 May 2007.

Takeover Target’s race record stands at fourteen wins (ten at black type level and five at Group 1 level), three second placings and three third placings from his 26 career starts for $4,163,316 is stakes.

Congratulations to TBNSW member Premier Bloodstock the breeder of Rosa’s Spur who was successful in the Group 3 Dane Ripper Stakes run at Eagle Farm on 2 June 2007.

Rosa’s Spur (Flying Spur-Rosa’s Joy) was too good for J’Adane (NZ) (Danehill(USA)- Affirmed Lane(USA)) with Storm Signal (NZ) (Keltrice-Storm of Words(NZ)) in third position.

This is the second black type success for Rosa’s Spur, who had won the Listed Dark Jewel Classic at her previous start. Rosa’s Spur takes her record to 6 wins, 2 second placings and 3 third placings from 27 career starts for $271,250 in prizemoney.
