WEEKEND RACING - 17/03/07

Black type racing was conducted in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia this weekend.

Rosehill Gardens was the venue in New South Wales for the running of the Group 1 Coolmore Classic, the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes, the Group 2 Canterbury Stakes, the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes, the Group 2 Reisling Slipper Trial, the Group 2 Todman Slipper Trial, the Group 3 Star Kingdom Stakes and the Listed Sky High Stakes. Sandown Hillside was the venue in Victoria for the running of the Group 2 Blamey Stakes, the Group 3 Matron Stakes, the Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap and the Listed Seppelt Wines Sprint. Ascot was the venue in Western Australia for the running of the Listed Perth Stakes, the Listed Gimcrack Stakes and the Listed Melvista Stakes.

TBNSW members were successful in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic, the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes, the Group 3 Star Kingdom Stakes and Listed Seppelt Wines Sprint.

In Sydney

Rosehill Gardens was the venue for black type racing in Sydney on Saturday with the running of the Group 1 Coolmore Classic, the Group 1 Ranvet Stakes, the Group 2 Canterbury Stakes, the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes, the Group 2 Reisling Slipper Trial, the Group 2 Todman Slipper Trial, the Group 3 Star Kingdom Stakes and the Listed Sky High Stakes the highlights on a nine event card. TBNSW members recorded 4 winners (including two Group 1 wins and a Group 3), 2 second placings and a third placing on the day.
