IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NSW BROODMARE OWNERS

WHO BRED TO NSW BASED STALLIONS IN 2007

Thoroughbred Breeders New South Wales (TBNSW) is pleased to advise that financial assistance is available to NSW broodmare owners who bred to NSW stallions in 2007 as part of the Equine Influenza Assistance Package – Individual Breeders Skills Retention. 
 
Financial assistance in the form of a one off skills retention grant will now be made available to NSW broodmare owners who provide care for their mares most of the year and whose mares were stranded away from their home property due to the equine travel restrictions. 
 
Financial assistance will be provided to eligible breeders dependent on scale of broodmare care provided to a maximum of $2,000 per applicant.

(METROPOLITAN RACING)

FOR MARCH 2008

Congratulations to TBNSW member Mr G Harvey , on the efforts of Casino Prince being the Best Performed Horse bred by a TBNSW member (metropolitan racing) for the month of March.

Casino Prince (Flying Spur-Lady Capel) was successful in the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes run at Royal Randwick on 22 March 2008 and was placed third in the Group 1 Australian Cup run at Flemington on 8 March 2008.

Casino Prince has now recorded 5 wins (including three group successes), 2 second placings and 2 third placings from 20 race starts for $750,500 in career prizemoney.
