Congratulations to TBNSW member Werai Park Stud on the efforts of Sarrera being the Best Performed Horse bred by a TBNSW member (metropolitan racing) for the month of May.

Sarrera (Quest For Fame (GB)/Zamsong (NZ)) recorded dual Group 1 wins in May pushing his career earnings to just over the $1m mark.

Starting off on the 3^rd of May at Royal Randwick the seven year old gelding was successful in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes then made the trip to Queensland to take out the Group 1 Doomben Cup.

Sarrera has now recorded 8 wins, 5 second placings and 3 thirds from 33 starts for a total prizemoney of $1,027,350.

Black type racing was conducted in Queensland this weekend with Doomben being the venue on Saturday for the running of the Group 1 Queensland Oaks, the Group 2 PJ O’Shea Stakes, the Group 2 Sires’ Produce Stakes, the Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes, the Group 3 Dane Ripper Stakes, the Listed Sir Edward Williams Handicap and the Listed Daybreak Lover Plate. TBNSW members recorded a second and third placing on the day.

In Sydney, Rosehill was the venue for an eight event card highlighted by the Listed W J McKell Cup. TBNSW members took home five wins (including the W J McKell Cup), three seconds and two third placings.

Racing at Flemington in Victoria on Sunday saw TBNSW members successful in two races and taking a second place in another.

In Adelaide, Morphettville was the venue for weekend racing on Saturday with TBNSW members recording a win and a third placing.
