G1 GLORY FOR HARADASUN

AT ROYAL ASCOT

Haradasun

Congratulations to TBNSW members Mr Frank Tagg and the Arch of Gold Syndicate on the sensational win by Haradasun in the G1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.

By Fusaichi Pegasus out of the G1 winning mare, Circles Of Gold, Haradasun was Australia’s 2006-2007 champion three-year-old male and is now a triple G1 winning four-year-old. The Queen Anne Stakes was his final start and Haradasun finished his racing career in spectacular style to defeat a field of top international horses including the multiple G1 winning French mare, Darjina and dual classic winning Irish mare Finsceal Beo.

Haradasun was bred and retained by Frank Tagg and will now retire to stand at Coolmore Stud this season. The champion stallion amassed over $2.67million from 18 starts and will stand at an initial fee of $55,000.

TAKEOVER TARGET RUNNER UP

IN G1 KING’S STAND STAKES

Takeover Target (Celtic Swing (GB) – Shady Stream) was gallant in defeat in the G1 King’s Stand Stakes overnight. The eight-year-old gelding is at Royal Ascot for the third year in a row and having previously won the King’s Stand Stakes in 2006 and placing 4^th in 2007.

Takeover Target will now be set for the G1 Golden Jubilee Stakes in which he finished 3^rd in 2006 and 2^nd in 2007.

We congratulate his breeders, TBNSW members Meringo Stud Farm and wish the connections the best of luck for Saturday’s race.

Update - Takeover Target has drawn barrier 2 for the G1 Golden Jubilee Stakes on Saturday. Trainer Joe Janiak has told the UK media "I’m very happy with the draw. He has had an easy week since Tuesday and is jumping out of his skin. We are very confident."

TVN will broadcast the meeting live from 11.45pm Saturday night.
