Black type racing was conducted in Victoria, New South Wales, Western
Australia, Queensland and South Australia this weekend.
Flemington was the venue for black type racing in Victoria on Saturday with
the running of the Group 1 Australian Cup, the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas, the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap,
the Group 2 Sires’ Produce Stakes, the Group 2 Kewney Stakes, the Group 3 Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes,
the Group 3 Frances Tressady Stakes (Sweppervescence Trophy), the Listed Moomba Plate (PFD Food Services
Stakes) and the Listed VRC March Stakes (Melbourne Food and Wine Plate). Rosehill Gardens was the venue in
New South Wales for the running of the Group 2 Apollo Stakes (Winning Edge Presentation Stakes), the Listed
Triscay Stakes, the Listed Darby Munro Handicap and the Listed Parramatta Cup. Ascot was the venue in
Western Australia for the running of the Listed Supremacy Stakes and the Listed J C Roberts Stakes. Eagle
Farm was the venue in Queensland for the running of the Listed Tattersall’s Classic and the Listed
Tattersall’s Members’ Cup. Morphettville was the venue in South Australia for the running of the Listed
C S Hayes Memorial Cup.
