IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NSW BROODMARE OWNERS

WHO BRED TO NSW BASED STALLIONS IN 2007

Thoroughbred Breeders New South Wales (TBNSW) is pleased to advise that financial assistance is available to NSW broodmare owners who bred to NSW stallions in 2007 as part of the Equine Influenza Assistance Package – Individual Breeders Skills Retention. 
 
Financial assistance in the form of a one off skills retention grant will now be made available to NSW broodmare owners who provide care for their mares most of the year and whose mares were stranded away from their home property due to the equine travel restrictions. 
 
Financial assistance will be provided to eligible breeders dependent on scale of broodmare care provided to a maximum of $2,000 per applicant.

MEMBERS QUINELLA EVENT

A great result for TBNSW members providing the quinella in the Group 2 The Golden Rose run at Rosehill Gardens on 15 March 2008. Congratulations to TBNSW members Vinery Stud , the breeder of Forensics the winner of the event and to Woodlands Stud the breeder of the runner-up.

Forensics (Flying Spur-Prove It) was successful from El Cambio (Commands- Chaparra) with Kingda Ka (Flying Spur-Fizzi Lizzi) in third position.

Forensics has now recorded 5 wins (including 4 at Group level) from her 10 race starts for $2,868,850 in prizemoney to date.
