KERT RECORDS FIRST BLACK

TYPE SUCCESS IN THE LISTED

GIBSON CARMICHAEL STAKES

Congratulations to TBNSW member Mr G Harvey the breeder of Kert the winner of the Listed Gibson Carmichael Stakes run at Flemington on 17 May 2008.

  

 

Kert (General Nediym-Brocco’s Delight(USA)) was successful from Mio Roiale (Tale of the Cat(USA)-Royal Season) with Darrange (Grandera(IRE)-Diamonds and Dust) in third position.

  

 

This is the first black type success for Kert who takes his record to 2 wins and a third placing from only 5 race starts.

WEEKEND RACING -17/05/2008

Black type racing was conducted in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia this weekend.

 

Doomben was the venue for black type racing in Queensland on Saturday with the running of the Group 1 Doomben Cup, the Group 2 Champagne Classic, the Group 3 Lord Mayor’s Cup, the Group 3 Doomben Roses, the Group 3 BTC Sprint, the Group 3 BTC Classic and the Listed Glenlogan Park Stakes (Lady of the Turf Stakes). Flemington was the venue in Victoria for the running of the Listed Gibson Carmichael Stakes, the Listed Henry Bucks Straight Six and the Listed Andrew Ramsden Stakes. Rosehill Gardens was the venue in New South Wales for the running of the Listed Civic Stakes and Belmont Park was the venue in Western Australia for the running of the Listed HG Bolton Sprint.

 

TBNSW members were successful in the Group 1 Doomben Cup, the Group 2 Champagne Classic, the Group 3 BTC Classic and the Listed Gibson Carmichael Stakes.

   


In Queensland

Doomben was the venue for black type racing in Queensland on Saturday with the running of the Group 1 Doomben Cup, the Group 2 Champagne Classic, the Group 3 Lord Mayor’s Cup, the Group 3 Doomben Roses, the Group 3 BTC Sprint, the Group 3 BTC Classic and the Listed Glenlogan Park Stakes (the Lady of the Turf Stakes) the highlights on an eight event program.
