EXCITING NEW STALLIONS ANNOUNCED FOR NSW

Choosing the right stallion is never straightforward, but in 2026, it’s a decision filled with more opportunity than ever. This season sees a wave of high-profile new recruits joining the NSW stallion ranks, adding fresh depth, proven performance, and global appeal to an already world-class roster.

ARROWFIELD – Lead Artist

By Dubawi out of Obligate (Frankel), Lead Artist raced exclusively in stakes company after posting his first win by almost 5 lengths over a mile as a Spring 3YO. He then progressed to win the G3 Goodwood Thoroughbred S., G3 Newmarket Darley S., and G1 Lockinge S.

Co-trainer John Gosden described Lead Artist as a horse “with so much natural speed” and “a great demeanour” who excels on “summer fast ground”. Shuttling to Arrowfield from Juddmonte’s Banstead Manor Stud, he will stand for $27,500 inc GST.

COOLMORE – Delacroix & Super Seth

Dubawi’s regally bred dual G1 winner, Delacroix (ex Tepin), heads to Coolmore as one of the best sons of his outstanding global sire. He possesses quality, athleticism and a world-class pedigree that is free of Danehill and Green Desert blood. He will shuttle to Coolmore to stand for $38,500.

And whilst not new to the breeding barn, Super Seth will have his Australian introductory season at Coolmore. He will stand for $137,500 following his relocation from New Zealand’s Waikato Stud, where he produced three Australian Group 1 winners from his first crop. A proven and versatile young sire, Super Seth has had yearlings sell for up to $950,000 in Australia in 2026.

DARLEY KELVINSIDE – Tentyris

Tentyris (Street Boss x Deity) joins Darley Kelvinside as the winner of the G1 Coolmore Stud S., recording the fastest time in the race’s history. He also became just the fourth three-year-old colt to win the G1 Lightning S. in the past 25 years. At two, Tentyris won the G2 Todman Stakes and finished second in the G1 Blue Diamond, placing him among the leading juveniles of his crop.

He is out of an Exceed And Excel daughter of four-time G1 winner Divine Madonna and will stand his debut seasons for $88,000 inc GST.

VINERY / KIA ORA – Tropicus

Vinery and Kia Ora have announced they will combine their stallion operation to be based at Vinery, creating a dynamic and unified roster. Kia Ora’s Farnan, Captivant and newly retired Tropicus will move to Vinery this season.

G1 Oakleigh Plate winner Tropicus (Too Darn Hot) was bred and raced by Kia Ora Stud, and is the second named foal out of G3 Summoned Stakes-placed winner of four races Extensible (Exceed And Excel). Too Darn Hot, whose oldest progeny in Australia are 4-year-olds, has already sired five Group 1 winners led by Tropicus and Broadsiding locally. Fees are yet to be announced.

YULONG STUD – Devil Night, Private Harry, Alabama Express, Lucky Vega, Tagaloa.

Yulong have announced their expansion into the Hunter Valley, with the acquisition of Segenhoe Stud. Their stallion operation expands to offer five stallions in NSW, headlined by two new recruits  – G1 Blue Diamond S. winner Devil Night (Extreme Choice) and G1 Galaxy winner Private Harry (Harry Angel) – following the closure of their racing careers.

Proven Yulong sires Alabama Express ($66,000), Lucky Vega ((27,500) and Tagaloa ($22,000) will also be making the move north to join them in their new Hunter base. Fees for Devil Night and Private Harry will be announced in due course.
