Kia Ora Stud is a thoroughbred farm situated 10kms from Scone in the Segenhoe Valley. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Farm Hand. The ideal candidate will possess practical skills, interpersonal abilities, and a strong work ethic. You should have a genuine appreciation for nature and agriculture, along with a strong commitment to safety and ensuring a secure environment for everyone on the farm. • You must hold a current driver’s licence
• Other relevant licences including a Heavy Vehicle licence and other qualifications important in the agricultural industry would be an advantage
• Prior experience in farming preferably around thoroughbreds, grounds and maintenance services and working with cattle
• A working safely mindset
• Sound mechanical knowledge
• Strong work ethic
• Sense of pride in workmanship
• Flexible team worker
• Familiarity with spraying pesticides and fertiliser as required
• Carrying out repairs to fencing and machinery
• Operating tractors, mowers, irrigators and other farm vehicles
• Ability to work unsupervised

Widden Stud is currently seeking a highly motivated person to join our Hunter Valley team of passionate staff for a Marketing/Administration Assistant role on a full-time basis. Widden offers the perfect opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and plays an integral role in raising some of the world’s best bloodstock, while simultaneously providing a fun and rewarding experience in the most spectacular surroundings. This role will involve:
· Assisting in developing advertising, marketing and social media content;
· Event co-ordination and planning;
· Organising sales logistics and entries;
· Assist with Staff onboarding;
· Coordinating travel and scheduling for employees;
· Communicating with various stakeholders in the industry; and
· Other administrative tasks as directed. The successful applicant should:
· Possess strong organisational and communication skills;
· Be capable of working in a team setting and independently;
· Have the capability to work flexible working;
· Be punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic and eye for detail; and
· Previous office experience with Microsoft Suite, Canva or
in similar roles, would be preferable.
