Newgate Farm has a 2 positions left to fill on the Stallion/Breeding shed team for the 2026 season.
Successful applicants will spend the breeding season with a young stallion roster that includes the best stallion in the world EXTREME CHOICE.
Reporting to the stallion manager, this is the chance to gain meaningful, hands on experience whilst working on a leading stallion team and breeding shed.
This is an exciting opportunity to be exposed to a hugely experienced management team with a proven record of mentoring young people looking to broaden their experience in the thoroughbred industry.
The position will start from early/mid August until the end of January. There will be opportunities to stay on for yearling prep and major sale attendance.

- General stud duties
- Care for stallions - rugging, feeding, exercising, preparing for client parades
- Working in breeding shed, holding mares, preparing mares for cover, teasing mares, putting stallions up. Previous horse experience is essential.
